Notes from Inez
Donningan, Uncle Dean's Daughter:
My father's birth
certificate lists him as the fourth child of William Robert Adams and Anna
McRee. Both were born in Weakley County
TN. My father got this birth certificate for
himself in 1941. It states that he was
born in Martin, TN (Weakley Ct.) on October 16, 1897. He
was never sure of his
birth date, but did a lot of traveling in the Martin area and talked to several
people who remembered his family and his birth. He always signed his name Dean E. Adams, but when he got his
birth certificate he listed himself as Esther Dean Adams. Also,
though he gave the
name Anna McRee, he used to say her name was Christianna Boneypart McRee and it
is listed that way on his notes
which I am going to
try to attach.
Notes from Patrick
Donningan, Inez' son:
Glenn, as she was
known by my mother, was a sibling to Dean.
I have some records of two other siblings, Davis and Mable.
I also know Glenn's parents and a little bit more.
I believe the vacations you took were to
Tamms, IL. Dean and his wife Mable
lived there. It is about twenty miles
north of Cairo. Dean worked for the G.
M.& O. railroad located at Tamms.
Sadly, the rails and shop have been raised. The town did keep the C.& E.I. rails depot and now use it as
a city hall.
